Each time you resummon one of these pets, it can randomly appear in one of two to four specific colours.
This quirky feature was rare before Wrath of the Lich King (colour-changers that appeared in earlier expansions were usually fixed) but became more common in this expansion. In the main game, this behaviour vanished again in Cataclysm.
